Following roadmaps is like being spoon-fed ⚡
I believe roadmaps curb curiosity and serendipity. A concept that you might have stumbled upon, which could have sparked curiosity and a natural inclination toward to domain is suddenly gone because you are now too busy doing the drill.
Good engineers never wait for a roadmap, they carve their path and define the speed and difficulty depending on what interests them. They may refer a few roadmaps (if available) for a quick win but it is never a blocker.
Remember, following roadmaps is like being spoon-fed, which means you will need to give it up after some time.
Hence, the best thing you can learn is how to learn on your own. So, start exploring topics on your own, start from something that excites you, if you find it difficult chase easier sub-topics and build a foundation. If you found it easy, go deeper and build expertise.
Because, if you aim to become a great engineer, you will not find a roadmap for everything you will ever work on.
