Amazon just made Aurora DSQL generally available!

In case you don’t know, Aurora DSQL is a distributed sql database operating in multi-region offering strong consistency at low latency … so all the buzz words that you can probably think of.

In case you want to dig deeper, I have been dissecting the Aurora SQL (not DSQL) paper on my channel, covering how things work under the hood. Two videos are out, spanning the first two sections of the paper

  • storage-compute separation
  • durability and quorums

Will cover the distributed side of things in the next series. You can find all the key links in the comment.
